| Stamp Words and Writing Prompts |
This book includes stamp word pictures and writing
prompts for our favorite units.
The stamp words are great for training young eyes
to "track" print- keeping up with letter order from
the guide to their papers can be tricky! Teachers
simply make a copy of the stamp word page, glue
it into a file folder, laminate it, and post it in the
Writing Center. Students choose words to illustrate
and spell using the letter stamps.
Writing Prompts are simply story starters for the
students' writing journals. Teachers make copies of
the writing prompt page and cut them into strips for
each child. Students paste their strips into their
writing journals and respond with writing and
illustrating.
