We love this book! Mrs.
Gaines decided she could
balance apples while
reading it to us. (The idea
of balancing apples on
your head is much easier
said than done. Even two
apples proved to be a
challenge!)
After reading the story,
each student made their
own "Ten Apples Up On
Top." They drew a
self-portrait at the bottom
of a long strip of butcher
paper titled "Ten Apples
Up On Top Of (name)".
Then they got to stamp
real apple prints on top!
Of course, they had to
remember to plan space
and stop at 10.
