stages from whole apple to core. They then sequence 4
pictures (whole apple, bitten apple, half an apple, and apple
core) from left to right.
The Apple Pie Tree by Zoe Hall
*We create a model of the cycle apple seeds go through, using

Science/Social Studies:
After reading The Apple Pie Tree by Zoe
Hall, the students create their own "apple
seed cycle," using pictures of apple seeds,
an apple tree, apple blossoms, and an
apple. They love telling (anyone who'll
listen) how a cycle keeps repeating over
and over!
We have put many of our lessons and ideas for this unit into book form.
You may download a sample pack from the book on our Freebies page
